With the release of Frozen this week, I was given the opportunity to review the Frozen Storybook application. It has a game and story mode as part of it! You can play them separate or the games can be embedded in to the story. The storybook app is narrated for you OR you can even record you own voice as you read it to play back. As the pages turn you have options to flip your iPad over to hear Elsa’s point of view. Some pages have puzzles and others have snow globe drawing parts to it.
I thought it was good application especially if you have some Frozen fans. The review is more convincing when coming from my 4 year old. I asked her if she liked the app and what she liked about it. “It is good. I made a snowflake. I liked making the snowflake the most. I made a castle with the snow globe.” – From the 4 year old.
Now available in Apple’s App Store, this digital storybook introduces early readers to Disney’s Frozen through all-new interactive features. Children and families can relive the epic adventure by flipping the device upside-down to hear the story from sisters Anna and Elsa’s points of view, using “ice craft” tools that let kids create and build their own frozen scenes and crystal palaces, and watching video clips from the film itself.
